What it is

One Hilton Honors free-night reward each year of card membership, emailed within 8 to 14 weeks after the renewal month. It covers one standard room, double occupancy, at participating Hilton properties, including resort fees and room taxes except the Malaysian tourism tax. It is not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or points.

When it resets

One window per account year. It starts on the date your account opened, not January 1, so check your account open date.

How not to lose it

  • Find your account open date in the issuer’s app. That, not January 1, is when this credit resets.
  • Don’t wait for the last day. Statement credits can take days to post, and a purchase that settles after the window closes may not count.
  • Pay with the Hilton Honors Aspire. The credit only follows purchases charged to the card that carries it.
